Renewed Hope East Surrey – Supporting the 2026 Supporter Meeting

Feb 24, 2026 | News, Renewed Hope

Ryan Letts at the Renewed Hope East Surrey Supporter Update 2026 in Reigate

Last night, we were delighted to attend the Renewed Hope East Surrey Supporter Update 2026 at Dunottar School in Reigate. Ryan Letts, Director, and Head of Legal Practice, and Nici Jordan, Marketing Director, were proud to represent Priory Law at what was an inspiring and deeply moving evening. We were warmly welcomed by the Renewed Hope team and had the opportunity to connect with fellow donors, local businesses and volunteers who share a commitment to supporting people facing homelessness across East Surrey.

We would particularly like to thank Hugh Serjeant and Andrew Tyers for hosting such a thoughtful and informative event, and for the dedication they show to Renewed Hope’s work throughout the year. Our thanks also go to the wider team and volunteers whose commitment makes such a difference in the local community. It was an evening that reminded us why community matters.

How Renewed Hope East Surrey Supports the Community

Renewed Hope Trust is a registered homelessness charity based in Redhill, Surrey. They support individuals experiencing homelessness, loneliness, and complex life challenges across Reigate & Banstead, Tandridge and surrounding areas.

Their work centres around three core projects: a year-round Drop-In Support Service, Hope House supported accommodation, and the East Surrey Winter Night Shelter. Each project provides practical help alongside dignity, stability, and community.

Drop-In Support Service in Redhill

The Renewed Hope Drop-In runs Monday to Friday from 11am to 3pm and Saturdays from 12pm to 1.30pm. Open to everyone, it particularly supports people who are homeless, unemployed, isolated, or struggling with difficult circumstances. It offers a safe, non-judgemental environment where individuals can access practical help and feel part of a community.

Services include a free hot lunch and refreshments, foodbank vouchers, emotional and practical support, liaison with agencies such as Catalyst, Community Debt Advice, i-Access Drug and Alcohol Support, East Surrey Outreach Service, Furnistore, YMCA, Salvation Army and Welcare, support engaging with housing departments, Job Centre Plus, the Department for Work and Pensions, probation services and health services, and access to shower facilities for those experiencing homelessness. For many, this service is a vital first step towards stability.

Hope House – Supported Accommodation in Surrey

Hope House is a four-bed supported property for men who have previously experienced homelessness and are preparing to move into permanent accommodation. Residents are referred by the local council and receive structured support from a dedicated support worker and volunteer mentors. The focus is on building independence, addressing personal challenges, supporting mental health, encouraging employment, and developing practical life skills such as budgeting and maintaining a healthy routine.

It is thoughtful, steady, and life-changing support.

East Surrey Winter Night Shelter 2025/26

Renewed Hope is currently running the final nights of its 2025/26 East Surrey Winter Night Shelter. Hosted by churches across Reigate & Banstead, the shelter provides a safe place for rough sleepers during the coldest months of the year. Guests receive a hot evening meal, breakfast the following morning and the support of trained volunteers in a respectful, welcoming environment. Some venues also provide shower facilities. Referrals are made through Reigate & Banstead Borough Council and Tandridge District Council, supported by the East Surrey Outreach Service. While the Winter Night Shelter operates seasonally, the need for support does not end when the season closes. Renewed Hope continues to provide year-round help through its Drop-In centre in Redhill.

Peter’s Story – A Powerful Reminder

Peters story Renewed Hope

One of the most moving moments of the evening was hearing Peter’s story. He shared his experience of becoming homeless and how Renewed Hope supported him through an incredibly difficult period in his life.

It was a powerful reminder of how quickly circumstances can change, and how important it is to have compassionate organisations ready to step in at the right time. It also brings perspective. Having a home is something many of us take for granted.

Why This Matters to Priory Law

At Priory Law, we support clients with buying and selling homes across England and Wales. We see every day how important a home is. It represents security, stability, and a foundation for the future.

Reflecting on the evening, Ryan Letts shared:

“Working in property law, we see how significant a home is in people’s lives. Hearing Peter’s story was a powerful reminder that a home is not just a transaction – it is security, dignity, and stability. The work Renewed Hope is doing across East Surrey is both practical and deeply compassionate. We are proud to support them and look forward to playing a greater role in 2026.”

Looking ahead, the Priory Law team is exploring ways to further support Renewed Hope through fundraising initiatives and team activities during 2026. Because having a safe place to call home should never be taken for granted.
